Medical services closer to communities
Medcorp Association is a non-governmental organization founded in 2021 with the aim of facilitating access to modern medical services for all categories of beneficiaries, including 'vulnerable' categories.
We organize health marathons, specific medical evaluations on certain specialties, educational medical projects for adults or children, professional quantitative and qualitative studies.
We have an extensive network of partners and collaborators with whom we design customized programs and campaigns and fully manage their successful implementation and delivery.
The COVID-19 pandemic is an unwelcome reminder of how much health matters to individuals, society and the global economy. Better health promotes economic growth by expanding the labour force and increasing productivity, while delivering huge social benefits. Economists estimate that about a third of economic growth in advanced economies over the past century could be attributed to improvements in population health.
More than 70% of health gains could come from prevention by creating cleaner and safer environments, encouraging healthier behaviours and addressing the social factors behind them, and expanding access to vaccines and preventive medicine. The remaining 30% would come from treating diseases and acute conditions with proven therapies, including drugs and surgery.
Realising the benefits would mean shifting expenditure to prevention. Disease prevention is usually less expensive than treatment and reduces the need for more expensive treatment later, contributing to a high economic return.
Why is prevention necessary?
Medcorp Approach
Removing the barrier to access to healthcare. We travel to the territory, together with specialised staff, to provide medical services and multidisciplinary consultations where needed. We proactively support the resolution of serious cases requiring further investigation / intervention.
We provide health-related services and information using information and communication technologies as an essential driver for expanding access to services and promoting continuity of care. Our extended programmes can include follow-up and monitoring services for medium and long-term progress.
We pay special attention to prevention. The more the causes or existence of a disease are discovered before the symptoms are felt and the condition becomes chronic, the more the chances of a cure increase. Our Check-Up programmes support early diagnosis to prevent the development of chronic conditions and stop them from developing in their early stages.
We facilitate access to specialist medical investigations. We have the capabilities to provide access to a full range of screening programs, including screenings to identify hidden problems as well as issues related to specific pain / problems patients are experiencing.
Actively promote personalised medicine. We assess the person's general health, risk factors for various preventable diseases, perform relevant blood tests and correlate the results with the need for investigations and other procedures, resulting in a package of services tailored to each person, depending on age, gender and individual risk.
